LAFAYETTE DAY SEPTEMBER,23 2024 AT MJCH: The American Friends of Lafayette and MJCH will celebrate the big day with an exciting and interesting program that will include a welcome by Councilman Richard Boggiano of Ward C, an invocation by Pastor Jon Brown of Old Bergen Church, a presentation by the fifth grade of the French-American Academy of Jersey City (teachers: Florent Tarsiguel and Martha Sebti), a reenactment of the gifting of the ceremonial cane to General Lafayette by the Township of Bergen, and talks by Rachael Goldberg of Liberty Hall and Dr. Walter McDermott. Refreshments will be served!
